英语的年月日表达方式

一、英语的年月日表达方式

英式英语和美式英语中对年月日的表达有大大的不同之处。英式英语是以日为先，月份为后的，而美式英语是以月为先，日期在后面的。例如：

英式英语：29 March, 1983 读作 the twenty-ninth of March, nineteen eighty-three.

美式英语：March 29, 1983 读作 March the twenty-ninth, nineteen eighty-three.

二、英语四位数年份读法

1、英语在一般情况下，将表示年份的四个数字按前后分为两组，每一组的英语数字都按基数词来读。例如：

（一）1865年读作 eighteen sixty-five.

（二）1998年读作 nineteen ninety-eight

2、如果在英语中是整百的年份，后面的两个“零”读为 hundred。例如：

（一）1900年读作 nineteen hundred.

（二）1800年读作 eighteen hundred.

3、如果是十位数字上为“零”，该“零”读为字母 O 的发音。例如：

1809年读作 eighteen O nine.

4、英语年份中千年的一些读法。例如：

（一）2000年读作 two thousand.

（二）2008年读作 two thousand and eight 或 O eight.

（三）1008年读作 one thousand and eight.

5、三位以内数字的英语年份，一般都是按照基数词的方法来读，日期的写法也可以采用基数词和序数词两种形式，但日期的读法只能用序数词的形式。例如：

（一）531 BC 读作 five hundred (and) thirty-one BC2.

（二）March 1也可以写成March 1st.

（三）May 29也可以写成May 29th.

（四）October 31(October 31st)读作October(the)thirty-firstAugust. 

（五）26(August 26th)读作August(the)twenty-sixth.
